Dear Parents and Carers,All Prep/Foundation students in government schools undergo mandatory transition assessments in their first month of schooling. In order to facilitate this testing, the students in Foundation 2026 will not attend school on Wednesdays throughout February. Instead, we request that you book your child in for one session through the month.
Parents/Carers are asked to bring their child to the office approximately 5 minutes before the scheduled assessment time and collect them afterwards - you are not required to remain with your child during their assessment.
The assessment data is used to inform the teaching and learning program in the grade. While we don't provide an outcome report to individual parents, we are happy to meet with you to discuss further on request.
