St Mark's 2026 Commencement Service
About
A Church for Seekers and DwellersJoin us for the St Mark’s Commencement service, and you’ll hear a fresh perspective on how the Holy Spirit may be at work in our culture today.
Our newest faculty member, Aden Cotterill, will speak to us on how we support contemporary rise in spiritual seeking, while also holding onto the value of "dwelling" - those who find a home and comfort in the stability of the church as an institution.
Aden has been completing a PhD in Christian Theology at the University of Cambridge, where he has researched Charles Taylor and Tomáš Halík’s on faith and doubt.
This year’s Commencement event will also include a special moment of thanksgiving to honour Susan Mary Withycombe, who is marking 50 years of service to St Mark’s National Theological Centre. Across five decades, Susan has made an extraordinary contribution to theological education and the life of the College through her teaching, scholarship, and faithful commitment.
Please join us to take this opportunity to recognise her legacy of Christian service and to give thanks for the remarkable gift she has been to generations of students and colleagues.
All welcome. Please register to save your seat.
