Using your voice as a key instrument in sound healing, we will chant together with live instruments in an ancient practice that stills the mind, opens the heart and harmonises the being like an internal tuning fork.Feel free to move, clap and dance as the energy moves through your body, or simply soak in the nectar of frequencies chosen to regulate the nervous system, feel the peace within and connect with community.
Artists:
Phil Gunter has a masters in ethnomusicology and a degree in classical guitar from the VCA. He has performed for more than 35 years on the oud (Persian lute), guitar and Indian merdang drum.
Harb Gill has played the harmonium and percussion instruments for more than 30 years in leading devotional chants. Together they have offered events around the world for as many as 2500 chanters. Both practitioners are passionate about connecting people with their hearts through music and deep, resonant sound.
Please bring a cushion, shawl and water bottle for your comfort.
This event is open to everyone. There is no age limit.
