Grow Together: Native Food Forest
About
We’re transforming the outdoor garden beds into a Native Food Forest — a living story of First Nations plants, food and culture. Guided by the team from GROW Gardens, this project will feature edible, sensory, and storytelling plantings that connect community with Country. Come along, get your hands in the soil, and be part of creating a vibrant, sustainable garden that will grow knowledge, biodiversity, and connection for years to come.Grow something meaningful with us, whether you’re nurturing your first garden or sharing a lifetime of knowledge.

SPECIAL SESSION
Plant a Native Weaving Garden
Join GROW Gardens for a hands-on community planting session as we create a Native Weaving Garden.
Get your hands dirty planting native fibre plants traditionally used for weaving, learn about their cultural significance and help build a living learning space for the local community.
Along the way, you’ll hear short stories about Indigenous plant knowledge, biodiversity, and how resilient native plants thrive in urban spaces.
No gardening experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to plant, learn and connect.
