Over the past few years, Dr Christian Mauri has earned a strong reputation across Western Australia as “the de-escalation guy.” Drawing on his experience in disability services, his background in sociology, and his work organising community and political events, he has helped countless clients navigate conflict more effectively in both their professional and personal lives.

Dr Christian Mauri is a sociologist and author who studies how precarity and cognitive workload shape individual and community behaviour. He delivers de-escalation training to businesses and government agencies across Western Australia. In 2024, he was named Citizen of the Year for community work including organising political events that bring together people who might not otherwise meet.
