Irrigation: Meeting Your End Use
In this session, we’ll review current vineyard performance and how the trial is progressing.
We’ll also discuss irrigation planning from veraison through to harvest, with a focus on the physiological factors influencing those decisions—such as vine water status, fruit exposure, and ripening targets.
The session will include new data on heat mitigation strategies, and a panel discussion led by Paul Georgiadis, where we’ll explore your questions around managing vines for their intended end use. Topics will include balancing quality and yield, harvest timing, and even mothballing blocks where needed.
PROGRAM
8:00 am Registration and coffee
8:25 am Vineyard walk
9:30 am Cold Drinks
9:50 am Vapour pressure deficit and its impact on irrigation timing
10:05 am The effect of heat and harvest timing on yield
10:20 am Irrigation for end use Panel Discussion.
10:55 am Finish
