About
On behalf of the Co-Chairs, Precision Public Affairs is delighted to invite you to join us for the official launch of the Parliamentary Friends of AUKUS.Co-Chaired by Mr Matt Burnell MP, Member for Spence and Mr Aaron Violi MP, Member for Casey
With Special Guest, The Hon Richard Marles MP, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence
The Parliamentary Friends of AUKUS has been established to foster informed, bipartisan engagement between parliamentarians, policy leaders, the defence industry and the broader national security community at a time of significant strategic change.
AUKUS continues to enjoy strong and enduring political support across partner nations. The partnership has been resoundingly endorsed at the highest levels of government, including by President Donald J. Trump in the United States and by The Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer KCB KC MP, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. In Australia, AUKUS reflects sustained bipartisan commitment across successive governments, underscoring it as a central and enduring pillar of national security policy.
For industry, the Forum will offer a discreet and authoritative setting to engage directly with elected representatives and senior policymakers on the practical challenges and opportunities arising from AUKUS — including capability development, industrial uplift, workforce, supply chains, export controls and sovereign resilience. Participation is intended to support frank, constructive dialogue on how industry can best contribute to Australia’s long-term defence and national security objectives alongside our AUKUS partners.
This invitation is extended to senior leaders from the defence industry, strategic policy community and government to mark the establishment of this important parliamentary forum and to participate in its inaugural discussion.
Further details will be provided upon confirmation of attendance.
