Holding the In-Between: Accompanying Liminal Seasons in Spiritual DirectionGuided by Lynn Moresi
Spiritual direction often brings us alongside people in seasons where the old has loosened but the new is not yet clear. This session explores the nature of transition and liminal space, and how Spiritual Directors can accompany others through these in-between times of uncertainty with steadiness and care. Together we will consider practical approaches for staying present, resisting the pull to fix or interpret too quickly, and supporting our Companions as meaning and direction slowly emerge.
Dr. Lynn Moresi is a Spiritual Director, Supervisor, Enneagram trainer and experienced educator with over 30 years’ experience in ministry and formation. She trains Spiritual Directors through the University of Divinity and is a Supervisor of Spiritual Directors. Lynn leads the Emmaus Graduate Certificate in Supervision for Spiritual Directors, based at Heart of Life and accredited through the University of Divinity. Her doctoral studies, supervised by Fr Richard Rohr, focused on navigating seasons of doubt, uncertainty, and the ‘dark night of the soul’. Lynn is a seasoned speaker and presenter, known for her grounded wisdom, practical insight, and warm sense of humour.
