General Information
Dear Parents and Venturers,
At the end of January 2026 the plan is to hike from Leura to Jenolan along two scenic walking trails, the Cliff Top Walk and Six Foot Track. The journey will be over 4 days and 3 nights and WILL NOT have any leaders in attendance. The journey will contribute towards the King Scout Award for Sam.
Activity Plan:
Day 1: (0700HR) - Meet at the Scout Hall, leaders/parents will transport participants by car to Gordon Falls, Leura. Walk on Cliff Top Walk to Scenic World Katoomba, 8km. Camp at Katoomba Caravan Park.
Day 2: Walk from Katoomba Caravan Park via roadway to Explorers Tree and then on Six Foot Track to camp at Old Ford Reserve, 13km
Day 3: Walk from Old Ford Reserve to Alum Creek Reserve Campsite, 14km
Day 4: Walk from Alum Creek Reserve to Black Range Campground, 13km
Whilst the hike is on a marked track, this a multi-day walk with no leaders.
