About
Saturday night Jazz at Sean and Dolly’s Kings Cross, with two bands playing music from 7pm until late.Eden's Eight
Eden's Eight is an 8-piece jazz-funk group with an irresistible sound, soon to be the next big thing in Sydney’s indie music scene. Led by vocalist, songwriter and arranger Eden Borrie and brimming with talented instrumentalists from Sydney's Conservatorium of Music, their foot-tapping original music is inspired by the satisfying funk grooves and dance-worthy big-band timbres of large-ensemble jazz-pop artists such as 'Couch' and 'Sammy Rae and the Friends’.
MyCool Quartet
Playing second will be MyCool Quartet, an up and coming jazz combo from Sydney. Drawing influence from the likes of Emily Remler, Gustav Lundgren and Clifford Brown, MyCool Quartet creatively explores the jazz style. Featuring a unique improvisational voice, the group pays tribute to the hard bop genre, as well as exhibiting their own unique interpretations through their compositions.
