In this block, we bring “fancy” movements and then strip it back to reveal the foundations underneath, then train these movements through multiple sequences and contexts.We explore what happens when we layer timing, direction, elasticity, head movement, and intention onto familiar foundations, transforming simple movements into rich, dynamic dancing.
After years of dancing and teaching, we’ve found that the only real formula for continous improvement and enjoyment in dancing is practice, practice, practice.
Zouk in Focus is intentionally practice-heavy, giving you the time and repetition needed to fully integrate movements into your body so they remain accessible, responsive, and alive in your muscle memory on the social dance floor.
