Robbie Burns Evening (SOLD OUT)
About
Join us for a memorable celebration of Scotland’s beloved national poet at The Convent at Koroit. Set within the beautiful surrounds of one of Australia's exceptional Celtic Convents, this cultural evening features poetry, song, bagpipe and other music inspired by the life and works of Robert Burns.Often called the “Bard of Scotland,” Burns wrote with wit, warmth, and humanity, capturing themes of love, friendship, nature, and social justice. His poems and songs — many still sung today — form the heart of traditional Scottish culture.
From 7.30pm to 10.30pm, enjoy a relaxed and atmospheric program of spoken verse, live singing, and musical storytelling in one of southwest Victoria’s most distinctive heritage venues.
Whether you are a long-time admirer of Burns or simply enjoy cultural evenings rich in music and history, this promises to be a warm and entertaining night. The Convent has a bar and will be licensed for the event.
