About
Join us on Bundjalung Country over 4 days for a National Contact Improvisation (CI) Gathering that centers around the values of community, equality, creative expression, and embodied connection through dance.
We intend to offer a supportive, inclusive, light hearted space where we can honour the roots of CI whilst exploring the edges of creative contemporary ideas. A playground for human movement to unite dancers from all over the country with the intention to learn, grow and connect with each other, all whilst celebrating the immense and rich wonders that CI gifts us with.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
➣ Classes, labs and facilitated explorations by teachers from all over Australia.
➣ Classic offerings including the Underscore, Live Music Jam and Performance Jam.
➣ Shared catered lunches and dinners.
➣ On-site affordable accommodation.
➣ A spacious sprung dance floor immersed in bushland, with direct access to the tea-tree lake and Lennox beach.
➣ Opportunities to volunteer and contribute.
SCHEDULE:
➣ Arrival and check-in: Friday 2nd of October from 2pm to 5pm
➣ Final Dance: Monday 5th of October 10.30pm
➣ Onsite accommodation avail from Friday 2pm until Tuesday the 6th, check-out time 10am.
PROGRAM:
➣ There will be various classes and labs for all level dancers and plenty of chances to all dance together in Jams, Underscores and PerformJam.
➣ We will be releasing the full program via newsletter and our social media as soon as we have it confirmed.
TICKETS:
➣ Tickets are sold as full-festival passes only.
➣ Numbers are limited, Early Bird/Concession tickets available until the 15th of June
➣ Accommodation onsite available for booking through us until the 5th of July.
