Kevin Chow
Australian pianist Kevin Chow is recognized as one of the most compelling pianists of his generation. His performances throughout Australia, U.S.A, Europe and Asia have gained recognition for their consummate communication. He has featured as Concerto soloist with Orchestras including the Finnish Radio Orchestra, Thailand Philharmonic, Morocco Philharmonic and Fremantle Symphony Orchestras. Highlights include performing with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House and as soloist at the Beethoven Haus Bonn.
Kevin has been a major award winner and finalist laurate of International Competitions which include the ABC Young Performer of the Year, Maj Lind International Piano Competition, the l'orchestre Philharmonique du Maroc Piano Concerto Competition, Thailand International Piano Competition and the Beethoven Telekom Piano Competition where he also obtained the audience favourite award.
Recently he completed his Konzertexamen studies at the Detmold Musikhochschule. Kevin holds Master of Music and Master of Musical Arts degrees from Yale University. He has also completed a Bachelor (Honours) degree at the Melbourne Conservatory of Music. Kevin’s principle teachers have been Alfredo Perl, Boris Berman, Boris Slutsky, Peter Serkin, Glenn Riddle, and Yoon Sen Lee. As an avid chamber musician he has collaborated with such ensembles as Meta4 ensemble, Duo Miow and featured in the Australian Festival of Chamber Music and been coached by distinguished chamber performers including Kyo Hyo Kang, Ani Kavafian and members of the Brentano quartet.
