About
This series of classes has been created specifically to empower beginners of Contact Improvisation (CI), so new joiners of the form can have fun and feel safe dancing in and out of contact during a Contact Jam.Each session will blend the learning and investigation of core physical skills, sensitivity and awareness, and explore different states of being.
Each week, a different topic will be explored, and are structured to build thematically upon one another.
We highly recommend attending all three classes to offer a progressive learning journey. However, drop-ins are also warmly welcomed.
- January 8th: Exploring different ways of meeting
- January 15th: Entering & exiting dances
- January 22nd: Expanding beyond two
All classes will be held at Dancehouse in Carlton, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Upstairs Studio.
