Central Highlands Music Festival Inc. proudly hosts the Central Highlands Festival of Bands each year in Emerald. The festival brings together musicians from across the Central Highlands, across ages and skill levels, to learn, perform, and celebrate music. Founded in 2014 after local music educators identified a need for students to learn directly from expert performers, the festival began as a collaboration between the community and the BoB Quintet.
Each year, the festival welcomes professional chamber ensembles in brass, woodwind, percussion, and vocals to inspire local musicians and support the next generation. Ticket proceeds directly support the event, including sheet music, staging, and the engagement of conductors and touring musicians.
Join us this year for an outdoor concert featuring musicians from across the region, conducted by David Law and Kylie Los, with guest performances throughout the program. Please bring your own rug or chair. The concert will be held on a grass oval.
