FIFA World Cup 2026 Multicultural Viewing Experience
About
Help us to create a multicultural FIFA World Cup 2026 Viewing Experience at the Arkaba Hotel!
Adelaide German Week invites multicultural communities across Adelaide to be part of an exciting initiative: live screenings of every FIFA World Cup 2026 match at the Arkaba Hotel on Glen Osmond Road in June & July 2026.
This is your chance to celebrate football, culture, and community in one vibrant venue.
We are seeking 'Cultural Patrons' for each FIFA participating country to help make this event unforgettable.
By registering your interest, you’ll join discussions with the Arkaba Hotel and other stakeholders from January - May 2026 to make this project happen in June & July 2026.
Responsibilities of Cultural Patrons include:
1) From Jan - May 2026: Engage in early discussions with the Arkaba Hotel on the format of the proposed live viewings.
2) From May - July 2026: Within your community promote the Arkaba Hotel as the go-to venue in metro Adelaide for live FIFA screenings.
3) In June & July 2026: Attend screenings of your country’s matches, and bring your community members along, as well as flags or other paraphernalia to show your team spirit.
4) Engage with and invite VIPs and stakeholders relevant to your cultural community—politicians, consuls, community leaders, and other high-profile representatives.
5) Connect with other Cultural Patrons and the Arkaba Hotel team prior and during your country’s games.
6) Be part of the Opening Game viewing on Friday, 12 June 2026 at 4:30 AM (Adelaide time).
Benefits of becoming a Cultural Patron:
1) Professional live screenings for your community members on multiple large screens.
2) Management of official FIFA viewing licensing and fees by the Arkaba Hotel.
3) Top-quality catering by the Arkaba Hotel, with full liquor licensing and security.
4) Friendly, multicultural atmosphere—watch games alongside fans from other communities.
5) Potential financial support for your community (tbc).
6) The opportunity for cultural activities before matches or during breaks, such as short cultural performances by your community members.
7) Foosball play-offs between communities (pending successful import of tables from Germany by June 2026).
8) Limited VIP area for your community for the finals game on Monday 20 July 2026, 7:30am (for the two teams/communities that make it into the finals)
Important Note: Due to liquor licensing requirements, minors may not be able to attend during night hours. Details will be confirmed with the Arkaba Hotel.
This is a non-binding registration of interest to become a Cultural Patron for your country—your chance to help shape this unique multicultural celebration of football in Adelaide!
Discussion with the Arkaba Hotel and Reinhard Struve of the Adelaide German Week will commence in January 2026. Fellow Cultural Patrons will be invited to attend.
An online information session will be held on Thursday 5 March 2026 at 8pm via MS Teams.
Please note: Communication with fellow Cultural Patrons and the Arkaba Hotel will predominantly occur via WhatsApp, email, and MS Teams.
