Spend a warm summer evening exploring the Railway Museum as the day fades into night. Summer Nights is a relaxed, family-friendly event that invites you to experience the museum in a whole new light — from golden hour through to dusk.Wander through historic locomotives and carriages, enjoy the atmosphere of the museum after hours, and make the most of a slower, easygoing evening during the school holidays. The Model Railway display will be open throughout the event, with ice creams available from the display area — a guaranteed hit with kids (and adults).
Children can enjoy simple games set up on the lawn while families relax, explore, or settle in with a picnic rug and bring a picnic from home.
Tickets can be purchased online or alternatively you can just purchase entry at the door on the night.
You can also preorder one of our grazing boxes provided by our friends at Grazing the Roof - smaller boxes for 1-2 people for $25 and larger for 3-4 people for $55. Please note that these boxes must be preordered before Tuesday 13 January and will not be available for purchase at the event.
