About
Saraswati Puja is one of the most important festivals of Odisha. It is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati who is the symbol of knowledge, learning, arts, and music. It is considered an auspicious occasion for students and is widely celebrated across educational institutions and communities throughout Odisha.Each year, this celebration brings our Odia community together for our first gathering of the year. On behalf of Orioz Inc., we warmly invite you to join other families and friends in Victoria for Saraswati Puja at the Southern Community Centre on 24 January 2026.
The event will also give children who are starting their education this year the opportunity to take part in the "Khadi Chhuan" ritual and seek blessings from Maa Saraswati. Those wishing to take part are welcome to bring a slate or notebook along with a Khadi or pencil.
It is a time to seek guidance from Maa Saraswati and come together to celebrate our shared Odia culture.
Each ticket includes a vegetarian meal, which will be provided at the venue.
