Visit to the Australian National Botanic Gardens
About
Join us for our first event of the year at the Australian National Botanic Gardens which is the home to Australia's largest collection of native plans. We will meet at the Theatrette at 10 am for a 15 minute presentation about the establishment and development of the Gardens. We will then divide into groups of 10 people for a 45 minute walk with experienced guides. There will be a shorter walk available and the option for 10 members with mobility issues to ride in the Flora explorer bus. When you book, you will be asked your preference for which of these options for each ticket. Please note that we cannot guarantee your first preference and that the numbers on the bus are strictly limited so seats will be allocated to people with a mobility issue.
About 11.30 am we will meet at Pollen, the cafe at the Gardens, where table have been reserved and refreshments can be ordered at your own expense. There is ample parking at the Gardens, though there is a modest fee. It might be good to car pool.
Bookings will close on Sunday 22 February to allow time to allocate people to groups.
