What is a toy and why does it matter? (1hr 15sec)
Did you know that there are some centres and projects around the world that will not provide ‘toys’ for their children to play with?
This session explores why this is by first defining what a toy is (something that is not as easy as you might think), asking what toys are for, and looking at the history of the word ‘toy’ and where it came from. Very theoretical session with big implications for practice.

About the on demand gigs:
These are all pre-recorded, on-line and on-demand gigs presented by Marc. Once purchased, they can be watched whenever and for however many times you wish up to 1st February 2026. Watch them from your sofa, your garden, and even from inside your butlers’ quarters.
The gigs have a deliberately rough ‘un-polished’ style to get the feel of an actual face-to-face gig and are recorded in a single take via zoom. One or two of them are recorded versions of gigs recorded with a live audience.
