Training for new and aspiring Treasurers
About
Taking on the role of Treasurer in a community group can feel overwhelming, especially for those who have never“done the books” before. But with the right tools and understanding, it can be a rewarding and very important way
to support the organisation’s success.
This practical workshop is designed to build confidence and capability in new and aspiring community group
Treasurers. Using clear examples and real-world scenarios, participants will learn how to manage financial records,
create budgets, monitor cash flow, and support the committee with clear, meaningful financial reporting. The
session also explores what makes not-for-profit finances different and how to stay on top of the role with simple,
effective systems.
