Begin the new year in style as The Wandering Cellar Door proudly launches its 2026 program with an intimate five-course degustation dinner at The Balcony, Townsville — featuring the renowned Hollick Wines from Coonawarra.This carefully curated evening represents the direction of our events for 2026: feature wineries, exceptional dining, guided tastings and meaningful connection. Each experience will shine a light on the craft, people and places behind family-owned wineries — and this dinner with Hollick Wines is the perfect place to begin.
Across the evening, guests will enjoy a beautifully paced five-course menu created by Chef Luke, matched to six premium Hollick wines, including sparkling, aromatic whites, elegant reds and a decadent botrytis finale. Every pairing has been chosen with intention — focusing on texture, balance, story and the moments that great wine helps create.
Your host, Matt Wilkie of The Wandering Cellar Door, will guide you through each wine with relaxed storytelling — exploring vineyard sites, heritage, winemaking approach and why Coonawarra continues to inspire some of Australia’s most loved wines. Expect insights, conversation, laughter and a welcoming environment to ask questions, share impressions and deepen your appreciation of what’s in the glass.
