Be there, be aware.
About
Be There, Be Aware is a free community training day, proudly brought to you by myself Deanne (A Rotary Club of Gawler Light committee member) and Beyond Support and Training, designed to build confidence, awareness, and life-saving skills for both adults and young people. This initiative was inspired by recent events, highlighting the importance of everyday people having the skills and awareness to help in critical moments. The day includes two sessions—a morning and afternoon session, each running for three hours, with lunch provided in between. Please note- it will be the same course in each session so only one session is needed to be attended.
Training covers first aid and CPR for kids and adults, disability awareness, and mental health support, empowering participants to better support themselves and others in everyday situations.
The non-accredited course is completely free for community members, and a Certificate of Attendance will be provided on the day.
Children aged 10 and over may choose to complete an accredited course for $90 providing they have a USI number.
