About
Become an Accredited Mental Health First Aider!This 2-day, face-to-face course teaches you how to provide initial support to another adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, until professional help is received, or the crisis resolves. You will learn about the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems in adults, how to recognise and respond to an emerging or worsening mental health problem and the treatments and supports available.
Cost includes a Mental Health First Aid Manual, all course learning materials, a ‘learner pass’ access to complete an online assessment to gain accreditation as a Mental Health First Aider valid for 3 years, lunch and refreshments for both days. Certificate of accreditation provider upon successful completion of the course and assessment.
Please note that parking is NOT available in the Cathedral Hall/Diocesan Centre carpark. Please consider alternative parking arrangements or public transport.
WHO CAN ENROL?
Employees of the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide, Clergy, Religious, Volunteers of the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide who have a role supporting adults in their parish.
PLEASE NOTE: To become an Accredited Mental Health First Aider attendance is required at all sessions across both days of the 2-day course.
