Aiah Fundraiser - Help Try To Save This Little Girl’s Life
About
Join us for a cocktail-style fundraising evening in support of Aiah, a 12-month-old baby from Albury who is bravely living with end-stage liver failure. This special event will bring our community together to raise vital funds for Aiah and her family during an incredibly challenging time.
There’ll be auctions, raffles and more.
Why help?
After being born in Wodonga Hospital on 3 December 2024 – at just 70 days old Aiah was diagnosed with extremely rare Biliary Atresia on (3/2/25), she underwent emergency and life-saving surgery at Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne - Kasai Procedure - on 14 February.
Despite initial hopes of a successful outcome, Aiah went into liver failure in November, and even though she was born in Australia – as her Filipino parents Raquiza Baring and Prime Isogon are here on student visas – Aiah has no access to our public health system as she doesn’t have a Medicare card.
Just over a month ago her parents were told the only way to save the 12 month old’s life was a transplant in India – as such operations on babies are not available in the Phillipines.
We are aiming to raise $60,000.
