Para Hills West Golf Day
About
Welcome to Para Hills West's first golf day!The day will run in groups of 4, with everyone playing the ambrose format. In a typical ambrose, everyone takes a shot off the tee markers, with the best ball being used. From the best ball, each player in the group will have a shot, with the next best ball in play to be used for the next shot. This will continue until the ball is holed, with the teams strokes being recorded on the scorecard.
On the day, there will be on course contests through the tournament, like nearest to pin and longest drive*. Nearest to pin will take place on both par 3's (Hole 1 and Hole 4). The aim of nearest to pin is to land the ball as close to flag as possible.
Longest drive will take place on the only par 5 on the course, Hole 7. To be eligible to win Longest Drive, your drive MUST stay on the fairway, and where the ball fully rests, furthest from the tee markers. Everyone will be able to enter these competitions for $5.
*Longest drive will be held in 2 competitions, one for women, and one for men.
Women will also be playing off the Red markers on the day, while all men play off the white.
Please note, this is only a 9 hole competition, not 18.
