Pre Pointe Assessments and Dance Injuries - Melbourne LIVE
A workshop run by Sophie Young and Kirstine Mann from The Dance Clinic at Highett Podiatry. This workshop will focus on the fundamentals of a pre-pointe assessment and will involve a mixture of theory and practical components. We will also run through the diagnosis, treatment and management of dance-related injuries from a podiatric perspective across a range of genres, including Ballet, Contemporary, Tap, Ballroom and Iceskating, to name a few. The workshop is suitable for podiatrists, health professionals and dance teachers to attend.
This is an interactive workshop with a morning and afternoon session. Morning tea, lunch and refreshments will be provided.
The start of the session will cover how to conduct a pre pointe assessment and allow time for undertaking a pre pointe assessment.
The second half of the session will cover a range of different dance injuries and how these are treated from a podiatrists perspective as well as ways to rehabilitate the injured dancer and keep them happy during their recovery.
A CPD Certificate will be provided to all participants.
