Social Media for Artists – Making It Happen

In this in-person workshop facilitated by Fleassy Malay, you’re invited to bring your own device if you have one (smartphone, tablet, etc) and a piece of your creative work of any medium (visual, written, performed) as we dive into creating social media content together.This hands-on session will cover:
• Stories – why they matter and how to use them effectively
• Static Posts – simple lighting and photography tips using your phone
• Text Posts – creating eye-catching designs with Canva
• Video Content – shoot and edit a basic Reel or TikTok using in-app tools, plus fun transitions and edits
• Content Ideas – brainstorming for future posts to keep your feed fresh
This is an in-person session. If you don’t have a smartphone or tablet, we’ll have a some spare devices available to share on the day.
This workshop is part of a two-part series created specifically for practising artists and creatives. The series is designed to help you promote and share your work through social media and connect with audiences in authentic and engaging ways.
