The Strez is an Australian documentary that follows two middle‑aged brothers and their 70‑year‑old father as they undertake an ambitious motorcycle journey across the Strzelecki Desert in outback Australia in search of long‑lost family history. What begins as an adventure film becomes a deeply personal story when a serious accident and unexpected events shift the focus to family relationships, ageing, vulnerability, grief, and loss. The film explores themes of fatherhood, intergenerational connection, masculinity, memory, and reconciliation, set against the physical and emotional challenges of remote Australia.
All proceeds support the South West Community Hospice.
