An Introduction to Relief Carving.

As long as humanity has existed, wood has been used as a medium for artistic expression. Relief Carving is a traditional method of carving the surface of wood to create patterns, inscribe text, and create beautiful images.We'll use a variety of traditional wood carving tools as we learn a few techniques, then we will apply these techniques as we create our carved designs in some nice wood!
Open to any women from anywhere in Perth, young and old, minimum age 12. Mums and grandmothers, this could be a great experience to share with your offspring. Maximum number of workshop participants is 8.
Cost per entry ticket is $99 incl.GST. Admit one person.
NOTE: Everybody entering the workshop space must wear sturdy covered shoes. No open toed shoes, no Crocs, no pumps - the whole foot covered.
