Make your wardrobe sustainable, one stitch at a time
Since March 2023, Transition Bondi has been running monthly Mend & Remake workshops. These sessions are a practical, welcoming space where people come together to reduce textile waste, learn skills, and support each other to repair and rework clothing.
We provide sewing machines, tools, and basic equipment. You bring the clothes you want to mend or remake.

Lise, Marta, Sarah, Jess, Chiara and Kit co-facilitate the workshops and bring a wide range of practical skills and community expertise.

- Marta is a qualified fashion sewist, crochet expert, and advocate for social justice and the environment.
- Sarah is a self-taught sewer and sustainable fashion advocate with strong skills in garment repair and upcycling.
- Chiara, founder of Mend & Remake welcome participants, provide material and hands-on support.
- Kit supports facilitation, welcomes participants, and shares skills in creative repurposing.
- Jess has been sewing since she was 12 and loves sharing her skills and passion for sustainability through making and mending clothes.
Occasionally we have other volunteers helping us running the events including Holly, Summer and Hayley.
