Chinese Calligraphy Workshop (SOLD OUT)
Celebrate the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Horse with experienced Chinese calligrapher Xueyi Bai. Xueyi will introduce you to the development of Chinese calligraphy from ancient pictographs to modern abstract characters. Through step-by-step demonstrations, you’ll learn the correct way to hold your brush to allow the free flow of ink onto rice paper.
Xueyi will then teach the basic strokes and explain how to arrange them into characters. By the end of the workshop, you'll complete the characters of ‘harmony and prosperity’ on a piece of mounted rice paper. All material provided.
