About
This class teaches the foundation movements of traditional burlesque - bumps, grinds, shimmies and struts. You will get the opportunity to play with gloves and other props, and learn the art of tease with a structured dance. Think Marilyn Monroe, Moulin Rouge, Crazy Horse, Hollywood Glamour.Burlesque Foundations is perfect for anyone wanting to explore the art of tease, for all bodies and genders.
18+. Weekly classes or you can book a term of 5. Beginner friendly.
What to bring: a water bottle and if you're a sweaty betty, a towel.
What to wear: activewear, anything you feel comfortable moving in.
Shoes: if you have dance shoes with a heel please feel free to bring them along, otherwise it's completely cool to dance in your socks or bare feet.
How to find the class: first time is not easy - gather at the bar in the main band room - it's the only bar on the far right of the venue. There's a set of stairs to the left of the stage and the class is up the stairs.
