Beginners Belly Dance Course - Invermay Launceston

Join us for this 10 weeks course. Classes are on Thursdays from 7:30pm - 8:30pm. You'll learn some of the basic moves of belly dance, such as hip drops, figure eights, hip hits, shimmy and, fwd/bk step, and put them together into an easy to remember routine. Each class starts with a warm up and a review of what was covered last class. The class ends with a cool down. Correct dance posture is stressed throughout the course.We'll also discuss costumes for different styles of belly dance and there will be some examples to look at.
Venue is the Invermay Bowls Club in Launceston.
What to wear: loose comfortable clothing. A scarf or piece of material to wrap around your hips. Classes are done in bare feet or dance shoes.
Course fees are non-refundable unless course is cancelled by Zahira.
Your teacher is Zahira. Zahira has been belly dancing for 33 years. She specialises in the Egyptian styles.
