Blackout Theatre Company is proud to present the NSW amateur premiere of Sister Act the Musical, the divine comedy that blends soulful music, heartfelt storytelling, and laugh-out-loud fun.When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a crime, she’s placed into protective custody in the most unexpected place — a convent. Struggling to adapt to her new life, Deloris is assigned to work with the convent’s struggling choir. What begins as a clash of personalities soon becomes a joyous transformation, as Deloris helps the sisters find their voices and discovers a sense of belonging she never expected.
Featuring a vibrant, gospel-inspired score by Alan Menken (Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast), Sister Act is a feel-good celebration of music, friendship, and the power of community. With dazzling characters, uplifting songs, and hilarious moments, this production promises an unforgettable night out for audiences of all ages.
