AusNet Landcare Tree Planting Event, Benalla, Wed 5 August
About
Get your hands dirty and help plant native trees and shrubs on private property at Swanpool. This planting activity is an extension of a project funded through the AusNet Landcare Community Grants to support habitat connectivity in areas affected by severe weather events and storms that resulted in significant loss of habitat connection and loss of large old hollow bearing trees.
No experience required, you will be supported by Landcare supervisors who provide a safety induction, demonstrate how to correctly plant native seedlings, and teach you about the importance of landcare in caring for our environment.
A tasty lunch is provided, along with all gloves, tools and equipment to undertake the tasks on the day.
This activity requires a moderate level of physical activity.
