Romantic art song by one of Australia’s most acclaimed sopranos.Lorina will present Strauss’s Opus 10 one of the most sublime collections of art song ever written, most notable being stunning favourites of "Zueignung" (Dedication) and "Die Nacht" (The Night). The program will also include songs by Quilter, Sondheim and many others.
Lorina Gore is a Helpmann and Green Room award winning artist, arguably the most outstanding singer to ever come out of the Canberra School of Music. She has graced the national and international opera stages in roles such as Violetta, Lucia, Norina, Ophelia or Marie, equally at home in Verdi or Brett Dean - but loves the intimacy of a modest recital for friends and fans just as much.
