2026 Scouts Vic Learn to Lead Course
Location: Week 1: Camels Hump/Mt Macedon, Week 2-5: Dyurrite/Mount Arapiles
This course teaches skills necessary to lead traditionally protected routes with another climber of equivalent skill.
Trad lead climbing involves placing protective gear into cracks and features on the rock. It demands physical strength, mental focus, and problem-solving skills to ascend routes while maintaining safety.
This course will be run over 5 weekends. Participants must be able to attend all days listed.
