Australia's first female parliamentarian was a second generation Australian, who was an orphan by the age of 15 and went on to rewrite history. Her advocacy and ability to influence society of the day was set against the backdrop of being a wife and mother of five children. Historian Hilary Silbert will share her incredible knowledge of this iconic Australian.
