Come and experience a traditional Welcome to Country; a formal ceremony performed by an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Elder or Traditional Owner to welcome visitors to their ancestral land.It is an important First Nations cultural protocol in Australia, with roots going back thousands of years. Traditionally, it was a way to ensure safe passage and show respect when people from other areas visited.
It is a way for Little Hall to:
Acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land
Recognise their enduring connection to land, waters, and culture
Show respect to Elders past and present
Come and be part of something special, and join us for lunch afterwards!
