2026-4 Introduction to spinning (Mondays) with Leigh Casley
This workshop is a 4 lesson programme, designed for absolute beginner spinners, and suitable for those who would like a "refresher". The first lesson provides background to spinning and “getting to know your wheel” preparatory session. On completion, participants will be able to spin wool and ply it to make yarn suitable for weaving and/or knitting. These sessions are most suitable for treadle wheels. If you have an e-spinner please discuss with the tutor. Traditional wheels can be hired from CSW.
Tutor Info: Leigh Casley is a long term member of CSW and an experienced spinner. She is an expert in traditional wheels and has been testing and taming several electric wheels for the production of her super fine lace weight yarns.
Dates: Monday 9 March 6pm to 8pm; Monday 16, 23, 30 March 6pm to 9pm
