D.C Cross and Andrew Tuttle - A seated listening experience.
About
D.C Cross (Sydney) + Andrew Tuttle (Brisbane)No Drums Records presents "A seated listening experience", supported by the Inner West Council.
After several years developing a friendship and mutual appreciation society, innovative folk musicians D.C Cross and Andrew Tuttle combine to present a double-headline tour along the Australian east coast in April 2026.
Over 8 albums, D.C. Cross’ (aka Darren Cross, formerly of Gerling, Jep and Dep) has continued to refine and define the notion of ecstatic guitar - an uniquely Australian take on the solo instrumental guitar. Cross’ new album Open Guitar (Volume One) explores the balance between dedicated practice improvisation emotion and technique.
“Open Guitar offers a sense of peace through the beauty of instrumental acoustic music.”
— Glenn Kimpton
“D.C. Cross walks in the footsteps of John Fahey and stands alongside contemporary fingerstyle guitarists, all while following his own path.”
— Holger Adam, Skug Musikkultur
Andrew Tuttle dwells in a between world where the five-string banjo sit serenely and purposefully with shimmering waves of decay reverberation and processed electronics. Holding a space that is abundant and generous, Tuttle makes outsider music that turns its listeners into insiders. Tuttle has released five solo albums and collaborated with musicians including Matmos, Steve Gunn, SUSS, Mike Cooper, Gwenifer Raymond and Padang Food Tigers.
"While his chosen instrument will always carry with it folk connotations Tuttle seems dedicated to uncovering its cosmic qualities.” (UNCUT, 4*)
Join the two musicians for a special night on the ambient side of music.
