ANZHFR Binational Hip Festival 2026
About
The Australian and New Zealand Hip Fracture Registry (ANZHFR) is a clinical quality registry that collects data about older people admitted to hospital with a broken hip in Australia and New Zealand. It's objective is to use data to improve hip fracture care across both countries.
The Hip Festival ('Hip Fest') will provide a platform for multidisciplinary collaboration in hip fracture care, featuring the latest updates on best practice recommendations.
Day 1
Thursday 5 November, 2026 (in person only)
1:30PM- 5:00PM
Two interactive workshops will be running:
🔹 Workshop A: Getting moving after hip fracture (1.5 hours)
🔹 Workshop B: Rethinking Indwelling Urinary Catheters after hip fracture- is routine always right? (1.5 hours)
Participants will attend both workshops. Participants will be assigned to attend workshop A then workshop B or vice versa.
Followed by a Welcome Event (free drinks and canapes)
5:00PM- 6:00PM
Day 2
Friday 6 November, 2026 (In person and online attendance options available)
9:00AM - 3:00PM
