Location: Hawkestowe Picnic Area, Plenty Gorge Park, entry via Gordon's Rd, South Morang. Turn left into the second gate for La Page Homestead and Plenty Valley Arts. Follow the road to the parking loop for Hawkestowe Picnic Area.
Experience the joy of sketching and painting outdoors, surrounded by nature and fellow creatives. These friendly, informal gatherings are untutored and focused on encouragement, inspiration, and connection.
Suitable for landscape lovers, nature journalists, and anyone curious about creative time outdoors. No materials are provided, so please bring your own art supplies and a chair.
Open to all levels — from beginners to professionals.
If you’d prefer to take photos, meditate, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, you’re very welcome too.
Meeting point: Near the picnic shelters below La Page Homestead.
Getting there: Parking in Hawkestowe Picnic Area Carpark, including disabled parking.
Public transport: Bus 382 from South Morang or Mernda Stations to Plenty Rd/Gordon Rd stop
Toilets available.
The area includes unsealed walking paths and limited seating.
