About
Sita is the founder and CEO of She Shapes History, a feminist company making women’s history accessible, engaging and relevant. Through walking tours, digital content, and collaborations with cultural institutions and historic sites, She Shapes History works to close the respect gap created by women’s historical invisibility.The company currently operates in Canberra, Sydney, Wollongong and Melbourne, with plans to expand to eight cities by the end of 2026. Sita is also the author of She Shapes History: Guided Walks and Untold Stories About Great Australian Women.
Sita, the 2026 Young Australian of the Year (ACT) will share her story about how she is working to make history of women accessible, engaging, and inclusive.
The talk is suitable for all ages. We would love to see history students and teachers attend.
