For Speech Pathologists:◾ Interested in tracheostomy and/or laryngectomy
◾ Developing competency in tracheostomy and/or laryngectomy
◾ Working with adults in public, private, metro and rural/remote settings
◾ No prior experience necessary.
Facilitated by Dr Lee Pryor, Advanced Practice Speech Pathologist (Royal Adelaide Hospital). Lee has extensive clinical and research experience working with altered airways in ICU and Head & Neck populations. She has published multiple articles on speech pathology management of the tracheostomised patient, contributed to national guidelines, international committees and consensus panels, and remains actively involved in clinical research. She completed the Tracheoesophageal Speech Following Laryngectomy Instructor Course in the USA with Dr Eric Blom in 2010 and manages a large outpatient laryngectomy caseload.
