CPP 70th Anniversary Concert - AUDITIONS (SOLD OUT)
About
CPP Community Theatre is excited to announce our 70th Anniversary Concert! The concert will be about celebrating all things CPP, while also being the group’s main fundraising event for 2026.
The concert will be presented in two acts.
- Act One: Will feature a musical theatre song from each decade that CPP has been active (1950s–2020s), and songs chosen from musicals that CPP has not yet produced.
- Act Two: Will feature songs from CPP productions from the past 10 years (2016–2025), with one song selected from each show, including Hairspray, Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Beauty & the Beast, Anything Goes, The Addams Family, Oliver!, Hello Dolly, Seussical Jr, and Urinetown.
CASTING
Act Two Soloists: Roles will first be offered to those who originally sang solos in the selected songs from past CPP productions. These performers will not need to audition unless they also wish to be part of the ensemble. If any original soloist is unavailable, their solo will be offered to others through the audition process below.
Auditions will be held for:
- Ensemble (Adult and Youth): Open to anyone who would like to be part of the ensemble numbers across both Acts (whether or not they were in the original production). There will be 6 adult ensemble numbers and 4 youth ensemble numbers, some of which will include choreography.
- Soloists: For solo, duet, or small ensemble numbers in Act One, and any Act Two solos where the original performer is unavailable.
WHO CAN AUDITION?:
All past CPP members are welcome to audition.
- Adult Ensemble: Cast must be 15 years or older at the time of audition.
- Youth Ensemble: Open to children in Grade 2 through Year 12 in 2026. Children are also welcome to audition for solo roles. If you fall into both youth and adult categories, you may choose to audition for one or both ensembles.
