Year 12 Shabbat
Dear Year 12 Parents,
We are excited to share our up and coming Year 12 Shabbat dinner. It will be a beautiful opportunity for the whole year level to a share Shabbat together on Friday 30 January 2026.
As a pluralist school we are offering students a choice to attend one of several Kabbalat Shabbat services, as outlined in the table below. Depending on the service each student chooses there are different details to note such as meeting times. Students must remember to be respectful to the community’s customs and it is an opportunity to either experience something new or something familiar on their Bialik Jewish education journey.
The Kabbalat Shabbat service will be followed by a short walk escorted by staff to Blake Street Hebrew Congregation, where the whole year level will enjoy Shabbat dinner beyachad (together) as one cohort.
The evening will cost $25 to cover catering. Please RSVP by completing the following form by 5pm on Monday 26 January. Due to catering constraints and the organisation of security with numbers, we will not be able to make exceptions past this date.
Students will be dismissed from Blake Street Hebrew Congregation, 868-872 Glen Huntly Road, Caulfield South, at 10:30 PM.
