Facilitated by the RMH ED Education Team.This is a multi-disciplinary study day named Trauma BITS (Basic Interactive Teaching Sessions). This comprehensive 1-day course is designed to give you the foundational knowledge and hands-on experience you need to effectively assess, stabilize and treat trauma patients. You will learn from experienced emergency physicians and clinical nurse educators, and by the end of the course, you will have skills and knowledge to:
• Conduct a rapid trauma assessment
• Manage airway and breathing difficulties
• Control bleeding and stabilise fractures
• Identify and treat common traumatic injuries
